Never miss another morning workout

The reality is that not everyone is a morning person and despite our good intentions of waking up early and going to the gym, when the alarm clock strikes, our automatic reaction is to turn it off, roll over and hope for the best next time…tomorrow is a new day right? If this sound all too familiar, don’t stress, you’re not alone, but here are some tips that might make waking up in the AM that little bit easier.

  1. Pack your gym bag the night before

So you’re not stumbling around in the dark and half asleep trying to coordinate a half decent outfit. If you head straight to work from the gym, remember to pack h a change of clothes, shoes and toiletries.

  1. Get yourself a training buddy

Find yourself a reliable gym friend and make a commitment to meet them at a certain time and place in the morning. If we know someone is waiting for us we’re less likely to hit that snooze button!

  1. Have breakfast ready and waiting

Be organised and prepare your breakfast the night before so all you have to do in the morning is open the fridge, grab your food and run out the door. There are some easy breakfast ideas in my Meal Prep Hacks blog post.

  1. Place your alarm clock on the other side of your room

For obvious reasons…if your alarm clock is on the other side of the room, it makes it almost impossible to roll over and go back to sleep. The only way to make it stop is to get out of bed and if you’re out of bed with your bag packed and your breakfast ready then you really should have no excuses.
